I have a problem.

Well, technically, I have alot of problems. But right now, as of this minute, I have a major addiction and its to crack.

OK, it’s not crack. That’s a story for a different day. Anyway, my major addiction right now is to the popular HBO show Game of Thrones. If you’ve seen the show, you know why. It’s hands down the best show on television right now and it’s not even close. It’s not just the fans who love it, but the critics love it as well as the show is always cleaning up on the award show circuit.

But we all know this already, right? What we don’t know is who has the most power in Westeros heading into season seven of Game of Thrones and that’s why I’m here.

Usually this is a sports blog for the most part, but every now and then I like to throw something a little special on the blog to mix things up a bit and it doesn’t get any more special than GAME OF FUCKING THRONES GUYS!!!!!!!!

I hope you’ll enjoy it……

25. Theon Greyjoy

Perhaps no other character on Game of Thrones has been punished as bad as ol’ Theon Greyjoy. He went from being a ward/prisoner of the Stark’s, to disobeying his father’s orders with a failed takeover of Winterfell. That resulted in him being mutilated and broken down at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (may he rest in peace) to the point where his sister declared him to be dead when she went to rescue him. Season six was a good one though for Theon. He reunited with Yara and they took their ships to meet up with Daenerys Targaryen and joined forces with them. Theon is now headed back home with a hell of an army behind his back to get revenge on his uncle Euron. Will Theon finally come out ahead or will he once again get tortured? I’m going with tortured.

24. Samwell Tarly

Samwell’s story arc isn’t the most entertaining on GoT. However, there has to be a pay off eventually right? When we last saw him, Sam was in The Citadel’s library and was about ready to read his little ass off. What do you bet he comes across a way to defeat the White Walkers or maybe even something on Azor Ahai himself? Tarly is boring, but he’ll likely have a big part in defeating those creatures from the North.

23. Brienne of Tarth

Brienne is one of the best swordsman in Westeros. No one can argue that fact. But where does Brienne go from here? She brought Sansa to Castle Black and Sansa sent her to Riverrun to get support from the “Blackfish”, but Jaime Lannister showed up and his troops killed the “Blackfish” as Brienne and Podrick got away safely. Where does Brienne go from here though? Does she reunite with Sansa and Jon? Does she hook up with Daenerys and company? Will she and Jaime Lannister finally bone to end all of their sexual tension? So many questions. So little answers.

22. Jorah Mormont

I like Jorah, but the guy’s got greyscale. That usually means he’s going to end up as a “stone man” and will die. Khaleesi is hoping there’s a cure out there for him, but I’m having my doubts. I think we might have seen the end of Jorah as we know him.

21. Qyburn

Qyburn is a weird dude, but he’s a guy you want on your side as it’s shown with his alliance with Cersei Lannister. Thanks to Qyburn and his re-building of Ser Gregor Clegane, Cersei is currently sitting on the Iron Throne and no one currently in Westeros dares to challenge her. Nerds run the world you guys. Even in Game of Thrones.

20. Bronn

Is Bronn one of the best characters on Game of Thrones? Yes. That’s not even a debate. However, the guy failed to move the radar last season. He didn’t do much outside of being Jaime Lannister’s sidekick, which is a step down from being Tyrion’s sidekick in my opinion. Step it up next season Bronn. We need more wise cracks.

19. Yara Greyjoy

Yara is in a good spot right now. Along with her brother Theon, they have joined forces with Daenerys Targaryen and are on their way to Westeros to do some damage. Things are going good for Yara right now, but I have a funny feeling that either her or Theon will end up getting murdered at the hands of their uncle Euron. My money is on Yara. Something good has to happen to Theon at some point, right? End the show with him as King of the Iron Islands.

18. Lyanna Mormont

The Lady of Bear Island was a scene stealer last year. What’s in store for her this season? I have no idea, but hopefully it’s A LOT MORE LYANNA MORMONT ON OUR TELEVISION SCREENS!!!!

17. Melisandre

Melisandre is one of the most powerful women on Game of Thrones. After bringing Jon Snow back from the dead last season, she is pretty confident that Snow is Azor Ahai and will be the one who helps defeat the White Walkers when they arrive. Unfortunately for her, Snow banished her from the North after learning about her burning Stannis’ daughter at the stake and she is a woman with no place to go at the moment. I think that she will eventually meet back up again with Snow down the line this season…..perhaps in King’s Landing? HUH? Can you imagine Jon FREAKING Snow in King’s FREAKING Landing? That would be amazing. Much like Melisandre.

16. Davos Seaworth

At one time, Davos Seaworth was Stannis Baratheon’s right hand man. Now that Stannis is dead, Davos is now Jon Snow’s right hand man and was one of the main ones responsible for bringing him back to life. I think I speak for everyone when I say that Davos definitely upgraded in the “leader” department. No offense to Stannis of course. May he rest in peace…..

15. Varys

What is Varys’ motive in Game of Thrones? That’s been one of the biggest questions surrounding the show since the beginning. No one knows what the hell Varys is thinking and how he does what he does. Personally, I’m a believer in the theory that Varys is a “merling” (basically a mermaid) who wants to see the Wall destroyed so that all of Westeros can be covered in water. Oh, you think I’m crazy for thinking that? Go ahead and look it up. There’s all sorts of evidence that says this theory is correct. My favorite? A scene between Varys and Tyrion Lannister where Tyrion threatened to have Varys thrown into the ocean and Varys told Tyrion that he “might be disappointed in the results”. Plus, how the hell does this guy get around so quickly? Think about it people! The dude is a merling!

14. Jaime Lannister

No one on Game of Thrones has done more heel/face turns than Jaime Lannister has. Let’s look at them:

-Killed the Mad King and saved King’s Landing (face)

-Pushed Bran out of the castle (heel)

-Attacked Ned Stark and killed his men (heel)

-Saved Brienne of Tarth from being raped (face)

-Saved Brienne of Tarth from a bear (face)

-Basically raped his sister in front of their dead son’s body (heel)

-Helps his brother Tyrion escape death (face)

-Tries to rescue Margarey from the High Sparrow (face)

See what I mean? And I think we have yet to see Jaime Lannister’s biggest face move yet and I think I know what it’s going to be. Why not slay another “King” or should I say “Queen”?

13. Euron Greyjoy

Euron Greyjoy is a bad dude. He killed his brother Balon and now he’s “King of the Iron Islands”. His first act as King was to call for the heads of his niece and nephew, which goes to show you just how evil this dude is. We keep hearing rumors about Euron Greyjoy potentially becoming the “worst villain Game of Thrones has ever seen”. I’m willing to bet he has something huge up his sleeve for us this season.

12. The Hound

We all thought he was dead.

A goner.

Had taken the ol’ dirt nap.

The Hound made his triumphant return last season and has now joined forces with the guys who once sentenced him to death and forced him to a trial by combat, the Brotherhood Without Banners. Apparently they are on their way North to fight the White Walkers and if that’s true….that’s bad news for the White Walkers. The Hound is a beast and is one of the best swordsmen in Westeros and Beric Dondarrion doesn’t die as long as Thoros of Myr is around to revive him. Things are looking up for The Hound….for the time being at least.

11. Oleanna Tyrell/Ellaria Sand

I couldn’t decide between these two ladies, which is convenient because they are teaming up anyway and taking their forces to meet up with Daenerys. Oleanna is in charge of Highgarden now that everyone she’s related to is dead. Ellaria Sand killed all the higher ups in Dorne and is out to get revenge for her dead lover Oberyn Martell. Hell hath no fury like a lady scorned.

10. Bran Stark

Bran Stark’s story arc wasn’t always the most entertaining on the show. But holy hell, did they pick it up last season. We all got our hearts broken with the death of Hodor, but Bran’s visions led us to see how the Night’s King was created and oh yeah…..that JON SNOW IS FREAKING THE SON OF RHAEGHAR TARGARYEN AND LYANNA STARK! I mean, most of us knew that already, but it was great to have it finally confirmed after all these years. We also know now thanks to Bran’s uncle Benjen Stark, that Bran is the new Three-Eyed Raven and he needs to learn how to control his powers to help prevent the attack of the Night’s King and the White Walkers. All I want from Bran is more flashbacks because those have been some of the best scenes for us fans who have also read the books that go with this series.

9. Sansa Stark

We didn’t always like Sansa Stark, but she’s started to grow on us over the years. We will really love us some Sansa Stark if she can somehow find a way to end the life of one Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish. The guy is obsessed with her and she needs to put an end to it sooner rather than later. As of right now, Sansa is arguably the second highest person of power in the North and things went really well for her last season. How will she top all of that this upcoming season? KILL LITTLEFINGER DAMNIT!!!!

8. Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish

I don’t think most people who watch the show are aware of just how evil Littlefinger is. This is the guy who pretty much started the entire war when you boil everything down. And why exactly? So he can control the Seven Kingdoms for himself? If so, he sure is taking one hell of an approach in doing so. He has a lot of power right now, but will he gain more in season seven or will he finally meet his maker? Let’s hope he finally meets his maker. Just saying.

7. The Mountain (Ser Robert Strong)

The Mountain was one of the scariest dudes in Westeros at one time. However, he was poisoned by Oberyn Martell in a duel and he died. Or so we thought. Somehow he was brought back to life by Qyburn and now he’s even BIGGER AND STRONGER THAN BEFORE! This guy is one of the reasons Cersei is currently sitting on the Iron Throne and I’m not sure there’s anyone who can take him out. Unless they happen to be his brother “The Hound” and we finally get the long-awaited “CLEGANE BOWL” that everyone’s been dying to see. Count me in for that.

6. Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion is perhaps the smartest man in the Game of Thrones universe. After years of abuse at the hands of his own family members, he’s on his way BACK to Westeros to tear shit up with Daenerys Targaryen. One of the most exciting scenes in this upcoming season will be when Cersei first lays her eyes on her brother. I don’t know if it will happen for sure this year, but it’s bound to happen eventually and it will be SWEET! It will be even sweeter if Tyrion can somehow find a way to end his sister’s life. Cersei has tortured Tyrion his entire life and it’s about time the little guy got some revenge. He has a queen of his own as well as three dragons and a bunch of men at his side. Cersei is going to regret crossing our beloved Tyrion when their paths finally do meet.

5. Arya Stark

After some boring time in Braavos, Arya is back in Westeros and she’s back with a vengeance. She ended last season by going to the Twins, killing Walder Frey’s sons, putting them into a pie and baking them, serving the pie to Walder Frey, and then SLICING HIS THROAT!!!! That was one of the most bad ass things I’ve seen on Game of Thrones and let’s face it, we’ve seen a lot of bad ass things over the years. Arya was finally able to get revenge for the Red Wedding and it was incredible. The question is, what does she do as an encore? Watch out “Littlefinger”. You’re next.

4. Jon Snow

Jon Snow returned from the dead last year. Led his forces over Ramsay Bolton’s which resulted in the death of Ramsay. We also found out that he’s actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, which means that he actually has the best claim to the Iron Throne out of anyone else alive. And to top it all off, he was named the KING OF THE NORTH to end last season. Not bad for a day’s work. Up next for Snow? Sitting on the Iron Throne along with Queen Daenerys after having defeated the Night’s King. Of course, that’s just my prediction that is sure to go wrong. It’s Game of Thrones. The Night’s King is going to win.

3. Cersei Lannister

Cersei ended last season the way she always wanted things to be….sitting on top of the Iron Throne. Something tells me that won’t be lasting long though.

2. Daenerys Targaryen

She’s got three dragons.

She’s FINALLY on her way back to Westeros to claim what is rightfully hers.

Shit’s about to get real.

1. Night’s King

Winter. Is. Here.

Everyone in Westeros may not be aware of it quite yet, but this is the guy they need to stop. He was already the most dangerous “guy” in Westeros, but now the Game of Thrones season seven teaser posters just boosted his cred even more…..

Everyone else is screwed.
